Default Spray & 3600 stall & 3.73's? Please Help

Would I have to shift into OD before the traps if I put in my 3.73's and added spray? Should I just sell the gears *still new in box* and just leave the 3.23's in the rear if I go with the spray? I was going to get the gears put in this coming monday but got to ride in a sprayed car today and was like . If I do both is there anyway to know about what rpm I would be turning at the line? Im thinking if I go with the juice i'd get a wet kit and stay around a 100 shot if that helps.

Im still running stock valvetrain with the redline set at 6300rpm. So if your near the top of *6700* I guess it wont work?

Depends on what you think your trap speed will be on the spray.

It would also depend on what size tire you are going to run. I run a 28" tall tire with 4.10's, 3600 stall and a 100 shot and I cross the line at about 6200. I have yet to try the 150 shot.

On the motor I trap around 108.*not sure what a 100 shot would add* And for tires there around 26 inches.

Lets say the 100 shot adds 10mph to your trap speed, so you would be trapping around 118mph. With a 26" tire and 3.73 gears you should trap about 5700 rpm, assuming you have a m6. If you have an a4 you should allow for about a 5-10% slippage.

I run a 28" tire with a 4000 stall & 3.73's and so far have tried a 100 shot and was crossing around 6300-6500 or so in 3rd. So IMO no you wouldnt be in OD I dont think even with a 150 shot.

I spray 150, with a 3600 stall, lgx3 Cam, stock heads and stock rear end, 3.23. I personally wouldn't go over a 3.42 gear if you are going to spray 150. And believe me, you will spray 150 eventually. It is to tempting

No don't use the 3.73's. You'll go faster on the bottle with the 3.23 gears.
There is no question about this period.
