Default Car surging with spray???

Just went to the track for the first time with the th350 tranny. The car ran better than ever (6.66 @ 102 in the 1/8) but the power wasn't smooth. It seemed as if the flow of nitrous was surging. At first I thought the bottle was empty, so I took it out and it was almost. I had it filled, and it did the same thing. The pressure was at 950, it just felt as if it wasn't getting all the nitrous it should. I have a video where you can hear the car surging, I'll try to get it posted. I was just wondering if anyone has ever saw this, or knows what it may be before I take it to the dyno. The power always felt smooth when I run it before with the six speed.

Heres the video, it looks lousy because it was taken on a digital camera. If you listen closely you can hear the rpms of the car surge.

What are you running for a fuel pump? Sounds like it cannot keep up. If that is good then check the ground for the solenoids. It may need to be cleaned up or tightened.

IIRC 5LTREATR is running a Racetronix System.

TTT - any other ideas folks? I've never seen a thread in the Nitrous forum keep this quiet.

The injectors are 28lb. GM, and I have a fpss waiting to be installed. Why would the injector size matter on a wet kit?

This is not a new setup, I've sprayed a 150 shot for over a year now. It just so happens, that the first time I run it with the auto something doesn't work right. The last time I sprayed it before this past weekend, it worked fine.

I have a wideband gauge, but the sensor is messed up. A new one will be here tommorrow. That should give me a little idea what is going on. I don't think it was running out of fuel however. The car had no noticable detonation, and it actually seemed to run as if it were rich. It seemed to be kinda sluggish, like on an empty bottle.

Do you even have a filter, or just the little POS screen in the Nitrous Noid? Check and clean as needed. If you dont have a filter, get one, they are worth the few $ spent.

I just installed a fpss and new plugs. The old plugs looked fine. Also emptied the bottle again and re-filled it. I checked the screet before the noid, and it was clean. I also installed a new fuel filter, and an inline nitrous filter.

After all that, it still does the same thing. Also, the new o2 sensor for the wideband (aem) didn't fix it. I guess the gauge is messed up

I don't know whats left, unless a solenoid isn't working properly. After trying it with the fpss, it still didn't stop spraying. It's set to shut down at 35 psi. What should it be set on?

35psi is pretty low considering your fuel system runs at 58psi nominally. I would set the FPSS to shut off below 50psi to allow for the pressure drop seen at first activation. Anything lower and you may have some issues or end up replacing internals.

Default Surging.

May check Your solenoids. I have had A similar prob before and it ended up the N20 solenoids needed rebuilt. I got NOS solenoids and the rebuild kits are cheap. The Ground that was mentioned earlier is also another good avenue to check.
