Default Hybrid on N2O fuel system?

I am transplanting a '02 LS1 into my '71 Chevelle. I need to figure out what I need to have a fuel system capable of handling a 150 wet shot.

My current plans are adding a '95 Implala Tank w/ Racetronix 255lph pump upgrade kit. I am thinking about using the corvette style fuel filter w/ regulator:

This is where I need guidance. If I run this filter w/ regulator would I just tap into the fuel line at the fuel rail for the wet kit?

Will this style regulator keep the fuel pressure high enough?

Is a adjustable regulator required or reccomended?

Anyone have a better reccomendation?

I want to do this right the first time. I'm in the final steps of planning and my LS1 will be here next week so I want to get everything ready.

Thanks

I went through this when putting a LS1 in my 94. I had speartech do a wiring harness for me which was great..

On the fuel system I was able to use the 94 tank and pump assembly. I used the fuel feed lines off a 98 camaro.( I already had this stuff)

I used a fuel rail off a 97 corvette. The regulater is made on the fuel rail. Then I ran a line from the rail to the return line on the stock 94 sending unit. I had to cut and flare the hard line and install B-nuts on it so that I could run a -6 hose as the return line.

If you look real close you can see the return line comming off the rail.

Im thinking the filter you are showing will work. I remember reading up on it at the time of trying to figure my stuff out.

For a wet kit do you normally tap the line pre or post regulator? How does it work on a 99-04 corvette which use this filter?

You will pull your fuel supply for the nitrous off the shrader valve.

No problem. If you have any questions let me know. I had a hard time getting answers when I was trying to figure out the fuel system.

What Dave says is true with some additions for clarification. The fuel filter you show has the regulator built in, and thus not compatible with the 97/98 y-body, or the 98 f-body that use the rail mounted regulator. I am also going with the 97/98 vette regulator and return at the rails style. Your question on using the pictured filter and fuel pressure: you will see a drop in pressure and supply with the late model set-up, and going to early model is an answer to this issue.

Are you sure of this? IIRC, the 97/98 y-bodys and the 98 f-bodys had the good fuel systems. Then in 99 they all went to return and reg at tank. Look at a 98 f-body, does it have two lines at the rail?

Yes the 98 camaro has the regulater in the tank. Its not like the corvette. They started using the same fuel rails for the F-bodys from 98-02...

I have already been down this road with my conversion.lol Lots of people had different info and got me lost. I had to figure it out for my self.. boy was it fustrating.
