have it at an angle if you're worried about water getting in the purge line but honestly it won't hurt anything. it'll just be forced out of the system either way when you purge. Here's my lines coming out of the windshield plastic:

Well here's what has happened to me. When washing my car, unknown to me at time, water was getting down my purge line and sitting at my noid. How I found this out is my noid stuck open and bottle went empty. When I tore the noid apart it was all rusty like and contaminated (cleaned it up and it worked fine). What I do now is make sure I have a higher point in my line, compared to hieght of noid. This acts as a water trap until you purge and then it's gone. No more problems. So, yes, I think under the conditions rain could do the same.

i keep a vacume cap on mine that i keep on till i plan on using it. its also cheap incase i forget and blow it off in a hurry incase i run into the local ford gt or 2006 z06. mines routed dead center at the base of the windshield angled back so i dont look like a steam train(not hating guys who do but its just not my favorite)

My lines are run out at the windsheild and I've not had any problems, allthough I don't drive my car in the rain, the only time there would be a chance of water getting into the lines would be when I wash it.
Here is a pic of the purge.

I just ran one line up to the wiper cowl, then put a t fitting on it and split it into two lines and ran them through the wiper cowl.

Thanks. My buddy runs local the airport on the weekends and lets me take pics and do some top speed runs on it.
