Default A little help please.

Ok so I just got my last part in the mail and I'm ready to have it all installed. I will have Pacesetter headers, TSP catted Y, Magnaflow Catback, and the NOS dry kit. Just a few quick questions: What plugs? Should I get a Window switch or is the WOT switch sufficient? Anything else I need? I plan on running a 75 shot to start. Thanks guys!

go with NGK-TR6 plugs gapped between .040-.038 for a 75 shot. and i would definetly go with a window switch if your a M6. even if you were a A4 i would still go with one. for another $50-100 its really worth it.

Sounds like someone knows their nitrous setup basics... Thanks Blk97WS6.
blue99SS- good thing you said start with 75...we all know your not going to stay there for too long. Make sure you get some logging done on the smaller shot to check things like the fuel system being able to keep up. GL

Any auto parts store have them or do I have to order them from somewhere? Also which window switch for the NOS 5177 kit?

i get mine from NAPA...i know autozone doesn't carry them - if i'm ordering stuff from one of the sponsors, they usually sell them cheaper and i add a set to my order...it's not worth paying the shipping for plugs only tho

yep, NAPA for my plugs too. Checkers had them a few times, but not too often. Any WS should work...I hate the things, always see ppl having issues stemming from the WS or FPSS not being set right, so I dont even mess with them, but it is a good investment for starter and M6.

I just flipped through the directions and it says I don't need anything, that it will run on stock plugs and 92 octane. This has to be why you hear so many horror stories about nitrous. So NGK-TR6 plugs and a WS it is. Thanks for your help guys.

Well, it is half truth, it will run on stock plugs and pump gas....but for how long and its mos.def. not recommended. On the plugs, make sure the cap is screwed on tight, where the plug wires snaps on, those caps sometimes ship from NGK loose and can cause troubleshooting nightmares later. Use anti-seize on the threads, and dielectric grease on the porcelain, just a dab'l do ya. GL and have fun with it.

This do the trick?

RPM pills? Plug one pill in for the bottom end at 3000 rpm when the spray activates and one for the top end at 6000 rpm when it turns off? Does the switch come with whatever ones you ask for? Thanks for helping out a newb and sorry about the 8 million questions.

that will work, IIRC the pills need to be purchased separately and yes, you have the concept correct

The stocking number the stores will need on the plugs is 4177

I would suggest a Digital unit over the old analog style you have to have pills with.
WE sell the MSD for 95.00
http://www.nitrousoutlet.com/catalog...product_id=818

Or our custom digital unit with built in TPS and any gear lock out feature for 129.00
http://www.nitrousoutlet.com/catalog...product_id=964

We also stock the NGK TR6s.

Texas speed should also be able to help with these.

Let me know if I can help.
Thanks
Dave

I went with this one and the NGK plugs. I can set everything with the digital unit? No more accessories to buy correct? Thanks for the post Dave!

No, what I have right now is MSD digital WS, NGK TR6 plugs and the NOS 5177 dry kit. Doesn't the kit come with jets, and the blowdown tube?

Is it vital that I get filter and blowoff valve?

Not vital, but if I had to skimp I'd get the filter before the blowdown. Both are very good items to have. Filter obviously keeps trash from clogging up a solenoid, open = very bad, luckily the 5177 has a backup noid. Blowdown tube and fitting keeps the Nitrous from clouding the interior in the event the pressure disc ruptures.

FPSS
WOT switch
I just bought the WS
and will GET the Filter

Thanks for all the help guys, its greatly appreciated!
