Problem with N2O (only fuel solenoid hits), MSD window switch?
Just wondering if anybody esle has encountered anything like this. I've noticed that my N2O hasn't been hitting and I can't figure out why. I can see that the fuel solenoid is hitting as my AFR's dip to a solid 9.8-10.0 AFR when the system is engaged, however clearly there's no activation of the N2O noid. I tried setting the MSD digital switch to engage at zero so I could test activate it with the car off (N2O line disconnected, bottle closed) but I wasn't getting anything at all. I then tried with the car running and I could consistently get the fuel solenoid to hit, nothing out the nitrous line. I finally tried to straight jump the N2O noid to the battery and confirmed that the solenoid IS infact functional (shot a little juice left in the line). So the bottom line is the N2O noid is not opening when the system us engaged but the fuel noid does. I tried to bypass the original wiring as jumped it right off the fuel noid to rule out any wire openings, took it for a test drive.... nothing!! I still only resgister the fuel hitting (10.0 AFR), so this has me going nuts.
Anything about the digital switch setting that might be causing this? At this point I'm ready to bypass the window switch altogether and see what happend but I really like the luxury of having a window switch in the system.... help?

Im not sure how much you are spraying or what noids you have but when I was on the dyno a while back, I had cold fusion solenoids and teh Nitrous one wouldnt open. We jumped it and it wasnt working at the time but the sulprit was that the noid just couldnt handle a 150 shot. I have replaced both of the now and I think thats going to fix my problem.

I recently just had the same problem, I have the MSD window switch too, which I hate by the way, I agree with you its very nice to have, but its a pain in the *** and adds a ton of wiring. Long story short my problem wasn't in the window switch but a bad magnet in the N20 solenoid. Glad you got it fixed though.

Solenoids don't need to be grounded to the window switch. The relay for the activation of the system needs to be grounded through the window switch. The noids draw too much amps to ground through the window switch.

All noids have a problem opening over 900psi. Harris will tell you 900psi or less psi.
I'm not sure why you would run more than 900 psi.

My dyno tune noids have no problems opening at about 1050psi..
I am not trying to get the bottle there, but on the drive to the track it is always up around that PSI... by the time I have done a few passes it starts getting down to the 900's, but that is after a few passes....
This is the 1st time I have seen about the noids having issues above 900psi..
So does that mean I should stick with my dynotune stuff....
