Damn, it looks like the next TnT date isn't until Fri April 29th @ Bremerton. And the next Fri nite TnT racing at PIR is clear out on May 13th. They have Wed nite racing on the 4th & 11th, but that middle of the week stuff sucks! I think I'm having withdrawls already.....
On the bright side, maybe I can get some skinnies by then.

Well... at least that gives me some time to get my **** together. Hopefully I can put the cam in and get the clutch installed before the end of the month.
Of course... I have to actually have those things in hand first.

HMMM I'm going to have to make it up there one of these days. We should have like an LS1tech day where all of us meet up at a Sharies or something in the morning and head to the track. Not too early remember its a 2 hour drive for me...although I guess I could go the day before and stay the night. But I would HATE I MEAN HATE to leave my car out all night not too mention a hotel parking lot. I don't think its been out of a garage longer than 5 hours since I've owned it...

Yes, sorry, PR...ah Hell with it, SIR. There, now we all know what I meant.
Just found out the Bogarts I want for the front are a 4 week wait at best. Sure starts to make the car show on May 7th look better all the time.

Yahoo!...
Finally an event I can make it to.
I went to the website for the Bremerton Raceway, and couldn't get the links to work for me. So, I have to be an annoying newbie and ask, "Can someone help me figure out what I need to do to get ready for this event?"
What I want to know is:
1. Will I need a helmet? I am thinking I will be somewhere in the mid-high 13s range. I'm not sure, because this will be my first time to a track. I have a couple of minor mods, and I know for damn sure that my car runs a heluvalot better than it did stock.
2. Can anyone give me any "Heads up" on things that a newbie like myself might want to know before finding it out at the track when I show up thinking I am ready to go? RE: Tech. inspections, rules, etc.. I will be several hours away from home, and any dramatic surprises would suck, as going home and coming back w/something I need is not an option.
Any useful input would be welcome, and thank you in advance.

Yeah when I went to Pacific the guy was like "Do you have a DSL" and I said "yeah" and he checked and said "I don't see one but I'll take your word for it this time.." So apparently the tunnel brace doesn't count. Add another piece of metal to my "needs" list.

He actually checked at Pacific, huh? They've never checked for mine... they always ask, I always say yes, and they always just put that sticker on my windshield and say have a nice day.

Max,
It'll be fun to see another GTO out there. I don't know what your mods are, but don't be surprised if your first time down the track is a rude surprise. Many of us ran 16's or 15's our first time down the track.
As for Bremerton, make sure you are using the link www.bremertonraceway.com and not www.bremertonraceways.com. They have their registration form online so you can print and fill it out ahead of time. When you get there you will just need some cash for your fees and then drop off your registration at the shack. Once you are registered it's off to the tech line, which is sometimes very slow at Bremerton.
C'ya!
