Emissions!
Well, got my tab renewal notice in the mail today for the Camaro... and, it has to pass emissions for the first time.
So, any tips I should know about from other people who've had their modified cars tested? I know it's just a scan test, and the only codes it ever throws is a once-in-awhile "O2 slow switching" code. As long as I clear any codes before testing, it should be ok right?
I'm sure they won't be suspicious of me when I roll in there, thumping away and making people's eyes water.

I've gotta pass emissions in my Camaro again soon, and I have the OBD1 in there.. Trying to think of my options...

I had to set all my emissions codes to "no error reported" in order to get my car to pass. I literally drove my car to the testing center, installed the tune, ran the emissions test, reinstalled the other tune and drove away with my passing grade.
If you would like to borrow the tune for your test, just let me know.

No Error Reported is correct. Turning them off is not! You will fail if they see one turned off. And if your car is idling PIG rich, they have the option of sniffing your car (or so I'm told) so you might want to tweak the tune before you go.

I'm in the same boat although I just have LT's. I think I may just pick up a set of Cats and have them put on, please the emission gods and the neighbors.
Technically it still won't pass a visual but the Oregon DEQ's are pretty lax on that stuff. Good luck Jason and let us know how it goes!!

I had problems with the tests completing and was at a deadline... Turning the codes to no error makes all the tests set to complete immediately, just as Santa says!
Saved my butt (and the tests finally did complete legitimately several weeks later, FWIW). I just don't drive it enough, and a few of those tests are real b%tches to hit all the requirements for them to start.
