Default Playing Under the Car

I got to play around under the car today. I'll need a good custom 4-way alignment as soon as the new springs relax. Anyone know a good alignment shop that doesn't mind a picky owner watching and making sure the specs are dialed in precisely as requested?

Here's some pics:

Cool, did it lower the car or just make the ride stiffer? Those are some interesting springs. So how strong is the rearend on those, better than a 10 bolt I hope?

Stock ride height(once they relax, it's +3/8" right now) and 50% increased spring rate. I've been getting consistent rubbing under high load with the big GS-D3 tires back there and this should solve that problem.

The rear is pretty strong thanks to the IRS. Word is the first thing to go is usually the half-shafts, but those are good for around 550hp, so I'll be fine for the foreseeable future.

mine "seems" to be ok (over 500rwhp/600rwtq) and 250+ launches

as far as an alignment shop (that will let you hang out)
LK's Auto (East Bremerton) http://lksautorepair.com/
Kieth is the owner,
and a really good guy

I do my alignments there (and my oil changes, they have AmsOil)

Yea, those half shafts are thinner then mine and the GTO is just as heavy. :X

Just don't drop the clutch on sticky tires ... it catches up to 'ya.

In preperation for the new motor, we installed a set of BMR 300M billet stub axles and CV shafts while we were changing the rear cover. Up until this point I think we were lucky that a CV hadn't failed. Typically CV's will fail on these cars once 60 ft/times get below 1.60 and our car is much heavier than it was originally. In the image to the right you can see how much beefier the BMR axles are over the OE unit. Besides the larger diameter shaft, the CV cages are machined from billet making this setup good to 1000hp.

Are the shafts equal lengths?
