So who's going to make it? www.theclashofthetitans.com is coming to HRP on June 28. The True Street Class is great, heads up racing based on index classes. I won the 11.00 index at SAR in March, it was a lot of fun. Got a plaque and some cash. Need 16 cars in each class to make the bigger payout, otherwise its like half what is posted. Come on out!

Im thinking about coming out for one of the true 10.5 classes. It all depends on how the car runs over the next few weeks though. That and I really need a new transmission for my truck to trust hauling 18 hours one way. LOL Im thinking about it though.

You do know that the True 10.5 tire cars are running in the 8s now right? Better turn that boost way up!
I've got two buddies that run that class.
Alex Aekrot with a Pro Charged 347 mustang that has gone like 8.6x@16xmph and Alex Mandy with a nitrous breathing 355 mustang that is making its debut with the new motor this year at Baytown. Should also go some high 8s.

The payout for True Street 11.00 was only $100 because there weren't the minimum 16 cars, there were only like 10-12 cars. I did go 5 rounds though. But $100 ain't bad considering the entry fee is only $30. For the other class payouts go to www.theclashofthetitans.com and find out.

For a picture of the plaque, you can go to www.pomoforacing.com and look at the Car of the Month for April. There is a picture of me holding the plaque there. Its not a big trophy or anything, just a little 18x12 inch or so plaque with Clash of the Titans, some graphics stuff and True Street 11.00 Index Winner

Yeah I know the cars are going fast. Ideally, with the boost cracked open I should be able to cruise down the 1/4 to something in the high 8 range. Im on a big learning curve right now and obviously going to take some time and patience to get there. But I think the potential is there. I dont know about any 8.40 runs though. LOL

Well, the time is upon us, this weekend is the race. I thought I would also mention that there is a car show for an additional $10 you can show your rides. Open to all vehicles (except maybe motorcycles). No classes, just awards for best of show, best paint, best interior, best engine, best race car, etc...

Hey Carl, get that noise fixed yet? Wasn't that you at HRP Sunday working on your car the whole time? You going to be able to compete Friday & Saturday? Clint and I should be out there watching. Hopefully the weather will be good this weekend for this event.

Yes, that was me. I piddled with it for almost two hours. Ended up just being a rocker that was either very loose or the lifter is weak. I adjusted the damn things 4-5 times, then I finally cranked the car with the valve cover off and adjusted them with it running. It was the #5 exhaust valve. I sucked it down quite a bit and the noise went away to just normal valve train clatter. Put it back together and went 12.14 on motor. Hit the juice on the next two passes, went 11.007@123, then 11.01@122.8. Thats with a spinning 1.60 sixty foot. It should cut some low 1.5s on Saturday. I won't be racing Friday, just Saturday true street. Going for the 11.00 win again. I took it in SAR.

I had a problem with the car at Bowling Green May 31st and have not had a chance to dig into the car much since then due to a really heavy work schedule.

Wish i was racing this weekend instead of being a chump!
