So what is the red called used on 93-02 Camaros?

Was Torch Red (the Corvette Color) ever used on F-Bodies? I've heard of some people saying you could get Trans Am's in Torch Red, but I don't think I've ever seen one.

Can someone clear this up for me?

93-94-95 Bright red, Med.Patriot red metalic. 96-97-98 Bright red, Cayenne red metalic. 99- Bright red,Hugger orange. 2000- Bright rally red, Sunset orange, Hugger orange. 2001- Bright rally red, Sunset orange. 2002-Bright rally red, Sunset orange metalic. So the Bright red is the same from 93-99, then it turns to Bright Rally Red in 2000. Right? I was under the impression it was always the same name and color code, but SLIGHTLY varied from year to year. Someone posted this picture on here awhile ago, oddly, I saved it:


What about Pontiacs, did they ever come in Torch Red?

That is right, it changed in 2000. Don't know about Pontiac.

my 99 camaro is bright rally red..? you guys are saying that bright rally red was only from 2000-02. f-bodys never had torch red. its mainly a mustang color(gt500, 03-04mach1, 3v gt)

Problem is every paint company calls it something different. PPG might call it bright red and BASF might call it Rally Red. Best thing to do is get the paint code and you will be sure to get the right one.

My camaro in my sig was completely repainted torch red same as the corvettes. I love it! my buddy parks has victory red silverado by it and it's pretty amazing to see the difference in colors.

What is your paint code ? Now I'm curious because Bright rally red is not on any of the PPG-GM color charts for 1999.

So, is the red on a 2000+ camaro the same color red on a '98-'99 camaro? I'm not asking about what it is called, but the match. I'm asking because there is someone selling a hood near me but it's from a 2000.

I think all that changed was the name because the paint code #81 or WA 8774 is the same on the chip index for 1999 and 2000+. I guess to be sure you could look at thier paint code on the door which should be the same as yours, just called something else by GM that year.
