considering doing yourself, or taking it to a shop? price at a shop to do a clor change will probably be 3-3500 and up

that doesent seem to bad i guess, but it seems like alot of work. i wonder if they have to pull the engine to do the engine bay? the hardest part in deciding to do this is loosing the orginality of the car.

No you won't have to pull the engine just evrything else underhood. check out my albums-just had one done. If you are comforable with and love that particular car I say go with it. just my .02

what branch you in? ik just finished a 5 year enlistment in the navy. hmm well i wana know how much it should cost for a good shop to do it, and how much time and work would go into it. i really wana paint my car onyx black, its kinda a big decision though. plus it ruins the originality of the car. anything you know about it would be cool.

Active army. about to go to special forces training after new year. well as you saw by the pics you really have to disassemble the car...the only thing left on it during paint was the interior tires and wheels and engine. a reputable shop would prolly hit you for anywhere between 3000-4500 depending on the amount of bodywork to be done.

To change the color all depends on how straight the body is and how nice you want it cut and buffed and what paint you want to use there are a lot of variables. I own a hot rod shop and we do it all including paint Im just east of portland so about and hour and a half from longview. if your interested shoot me a pm
