Default Whats wrong with my hood?

I have an aftermarket ws6 hood and have small circles on each side of the hood and now it's starting to dent in. It looks like a fiberglass hood underneath but if u look at the circles it almost looks like someone painted over carbon fiber. I bought the car with hood already on so I have no idea where he bought it and what kind of hood it is. Any input on whats wrong it would be appreciated. I took it to a body shop and they said they could strip it and repaint for $400 but not sure about the dents.

Pics would be best, but where are the dents? There was some Ram Air hoods on the market that were not made well and over time the hinges made the hood bulge out near the back corners. Post up some pics and we can help you out.

No headers the car is all stock except for suspension. Guy at the shop said looked like heat warp as well, can it be fixed? I'd hate to spend $1200 on a new one.

I'd try to figure out what caused it before I'd worry about fixing it.. Depending on hood you buy or repair done, it could happen again???

Could be a fiberglass cavity. Do you know how old the hood is? The glass over time becomes weak, and will start to lose it's strength. That's an awfully large cavity, but if the hood is an aftermarket raw mold with no metal support, I could see it happening. How heavy is the hood? Have the spots got any larger over time?

The hood is very light and about 2 years old. Bought the car last year with the spots already on there but it didn't become warped until a couple weeks ago.

Maybe it was a WS9 hood and someone did a home-grown job of trying to fill in the heat extractors.

If the hood is considerably lighter than a normal hood, I'd venture to say it's a raw fiberglass non supported mold. Only way to tell is to bust one of the bubbles and see. It can be fixed though.
