Default media blasting bumpers

Has anyone had success with paint removal using plastic and or other media blasting?
Local plastic media blasting guy said he could do it.
So I dropped off a scrap bumper with OEM paint and one that had a cheapy paint job that was flaking off in spots.
end result is he said he had no luck.
Anyone know of a process that will remove paint without the tedious sanding?

endura is not the same as the newer bumpers.
The new material absorbs the shock of the blasting.
