would it be hard to have the ws6 in the stripes in paint or should I just go with vinyl?

Just have your painter lay down black where the stripes are going, then lay down the vinyl stripes, paint orange, then remove them and clear. That easy...

that sounds like a lot of work and several layers of paint in areas that could flake or chip easy?

Not much work at all. Had mine painted on, never had any issues.. Just buy the ram air decals or whatever you want in the stripe and the painter can use tape to finish the stripes...

This is close. Basically what we are doing when we do this is using the vinyl as the stencil and then removing it. Never leave vinyl down for finish product it looks like it is and that is cheap.

yeah the vinyl is cheap but im sayin in order to lay down the black first apply the vinyl spray atomic then remove you would use the vinyl as templates before you spray black to get the proper height of the finished product?

WTF?! If you did that it would defeat the purpose. You do realize that were only talking about thousandths of an inch thick, correct? And IF that. Just don't worry about it and hand them to your painter and tell him you want them done in black, or whatever color you choose. He'll know what he's doings...

I mean honestly, this **** is SO simple its not funny, yet it seems theres still confusion here, and its utterly rediculous. ALL you have to do is get the vinyl decals, they could be hot ******* pink for all it matters. You then take it to your painter. Car, decals, and all when its ready to paint. He will do all the prep work, prime it, more prep work, yada yada. He will then lay down black on the areas of the hood where the stripes will go. Then he will lay down the stripes as a mask, spray the car orange, remove the mask, then clear. SIMPLE AS THAT.

/end thread.
