Here is my old '94 Z28

Mirrors and hardtop were left gloss black, everything else was Satin. VHT'd turn signals, marker lights and taillights, and 5% tint all the way around

the first and second cars posted are satin, not flat. big difference in their look. flat, has more of a gray color to it, like a real dried-out black.

Reason I ask is because... budget wise and the paint on my car is done.
will this do the trick or is there a specific one out there?

i wouldnt do that... what makes satin look so fukn good is the uniformity of the finish... I would assume krylon would give you an blotchy uneven finish/texture... but then again i have seen some pretty sic rattle can jobs... so who knows... but if you arent a savant with a spray can, id do more research...

Since Im on A Budget... I wanna make the car a bit more decent with an angrier look, and nothing says Im badass when your rolling in a flat or satin black car.

materials for the hot rod satin paint is like 120-180 for the full car. bc/cc will easily get over 5-600.

but, a satin job can be done bc/cc too, using a flattening agent mixed in the clear coat, for a satin finish. that'll cost just as high, if not higher than a regular job, since it's a custom mix
