sunoco hood guys chime in please
So i got my sunoco hood in and I bolted it on and it seems to fit well except along the fenders. On my stock hood it was flat along this edge, and on my sunoco there is like a 90 degree angle so the hood sits up like 1/4 in. I will post pics later my camera is dead but I wanted to see if any others had this problem

Then it could be a bad hood from VFN which I doubt. But call them DONT email them and explain your issue. VFN has great customer service they will take care of you. FYI mine does not rest on the inner fenders. There are adjustment screws along the fender. You could always mark the fender line with chalk. Then lossen the screws and move the fenders out. It might sit flush then. You can not expect a after market hood to fit out of the box. There will always be little adjustments. Is it like that on both sides?

I might have to do that, it is like that on both sides I adjusted it the best i could but im no body man so i could be missing something if i pull the fenders out than there will be a huge gap, if thats the case i might be getting a different hood from VFN for sure

Before you move the fenders just do yourself a favor and mark it. And dont move it out all the way move a little at a time to get the hood in. Your hood lock and or latch might need to be adjusted also. Since your not a body man I would suggest taking it to one. If you were looking for a hood to drop in and fit exactly like your stock hood beware. Getting a different hood can have the same exact problem.

From this picture the hood looks to be off to the passenger side. That could be the screws on the hood that hold the struts. You might have to adjust that. Marking the hood struts before taking the old hood off is important to alignment.

Hi.
Sorry to hear you're having difficulty installing your hood.
Did you receive instructions along with the hood?
If so, in the instructional sheet you will see a diagram for opening up your hinge area more....from this picture it looks like this needs to be done to drop the hood down. Once it is down you can go back and adjust the hood to fit correctly.
Please try this, it is one of the most common adjustments needed on our hoods. If you're still having some problems after, please email me some overall pics and we'll get it to fit correctly for you. Please email them to: vfnfiberglass@gmail.com
If you did not receive the instructions, please let me know and I can email them to you. Also, Phantomzer0 has a linkie to an install page he designed to help guys install their VFN hoods
Thanks!
Jeanie
