Default Flat or satin black help

I got a new winter/DD car, a 93 Civic. The body is in an ok primer attempt; some of the original color shows through. I was thinking about spraying the car flat or satin black, so will one color cover better than the other?

Any tips on flat or satin black?

I'd go with a single stage satin black that has some type of UV protection in it otherwise it's going to look like chit in a few months.

Thanks for the replies! I didn't know the satin would need some UV protection, hopefully its not expensive.

you could do this, use ppgs dbc system base coat black, then apply ppg`s flatnflex clear
its a clear that can be flattend down to achieve degress of gloss
or you could use hot rod flatz
