Original post below:
This is my Ai headed, EPS cammed LS6 I was originally going to put in my '99 firebird. I am selling my firebird and in order to get the car I want I have to sell my engine as well. My original goal was to make 430-440 whp with an LS6 intake and ported TB, then switch over to a ported fast 102/102 with a 4" MAF and lid to try and bump it over 475 whp, all while having very good driveability and reliability.
I purchased the engine back in January 2011 from Phoenix Performance in Phoenixville, PA. It came as a complete long block with, what I believe, is an LS2 oil pan on it just to keep the dirt out of it. I never checked to see exactly what it was because I was going to reuse my F-body oil pan. The oil pan will be included with the engine. The engine was pulled out of an 03-04 Z06 that had 35k miles. Phoenix performance did a leakdown test before it was pulled and all cylinders were between 4-6%. I was told it made about 370 whp stock when pulled and ran great.
Here are some pictures of the engine, all pictures are clickable links to the full size picture.
please excuse the crappy cell phone pics, I dump my money in to cars, not cameras haha.
I talked with Patrick G and he specced me a 226/230 ~.600" on a 113 LSA through Geoff Skinner at EPS.
I then decided to have the heads ported by Advanced Induction with their 226cc 243/799 program. I sent my EPS cam there to get checked out to see what the exact specs were on it so they could determine how much they could safely mill the heads with no worries of P to V interference. The cam ended up being slightly bigger than advertised, here is the cam card:
The heads ended up being milled to 63cc. With the .051" GM head gaskets Ai sent me the compression ratio should be about 10.8:1. These heads are a work of art and I am sad I won't be able to see what they can do.
here are some pictures of the heads:
The heads are installed with ARP head bolts.
some other information directly from the advanced induction invoice:
100% CNC'd 226cc GM LS6/LS2 Cylinder Head Package:

CNC’d Chambers
CNC’d F1 Quality Newen Valvejob
Milled to Required Chamber Volume & Ra Finish

Install PSILS-1511 MaxLife Nitrided Beehive Spring w/ Manley 23622-16 Ti Retainers & Manley 13098-16
Hardened/Machined Locks
Install GM OEM Valve Seals
Pressure Test & Complete Hand De-Burring
GM 12589226 LS1/LS6 5.7L Head Gasket (1998-2003) 3.920 max bore .051 Thk Compressed
Hardened 4130CrMoly 1pc Racing Pushrod 5/16" x .080 Wall x 7.150
The factory lifters and timing set were both in great shape so I reused those.
and a picture of the final assembled engine. Everything on the engine in this picture is what is for sale with the exception of the ATI crank hub.
I am very firm at $4,000. Shipping would be extra although I would prefer to sell local. This engine cost me $5,000+ to build, I believe dropping 20% off the cost of an engine that hasn't even been ran is fair.
SHORTBLOCK HAS PENDING SALE, GOING TO KEEP HEADS/CAM
Thanks for looking.

shipping costs have really gone up... it would cost me almost $50 to ship the LS6 clutch to california... ridiculous.
