I have a pretty nice used cam for sale. I have the cam card, box etc. Probably 20-30k miles on it. Shows normal wear/ darkening along the lobes. Will post pics tonight. Going through my engine and switching stuff up so this cam needs to go. made great power all over in my 05 SSS. Looking to get $200 +ship.

Default VRX4 Cam

I bought this vrx4 cam from classic_speed . When the cam arrived i opened the box and it looks like where number 3 bearing rides on the cam its scared up . like metal in the oil or spun cam bearing . so i email him about i think the cam is in bad shape and im taking it to a machine shop and let them look at.

You can feel the grooves with your finger nails .

Classic_speed replyed back There were a few others interested in it. Maybe you could ship it to them.

So is there a Person here that needs this Cam 200 shipped.

The cam is discolored as stated but its smooth to the touch. This cam was in a running engine.

There is no way that the journal in that pic is smooth to the toutch. I wouldn't stick that in my motor.

It is perfectly smooth to the touch. Im not nor did I ever mis-represent this thing. pics were exchanged and info fully disclosed. Discoloration does in no way mean it gouged.... Cam is discolored and USED

I understand what you are saying and I never said you missrepresentated the cam in any way, but in my opinion that cam needs some help before intallation.

It's a shame if you sent clear pics to the buyer and he is now having second thoughts.

Default bad cam

i took the cam to the machine shop today it is not repairable . The #3 journal is not fixable.
The seller forgot to say #3 journal is scared up and can feel with your finger.
The pictures the seller sent did not show the damage.

Because had he said that or showed picture like i posted i would of passed on this cam.

He lies about the cam being smooth .

The big question is ( Is the seller going to Refund the money )
and make this right.(I paid 200 shipped refund 150 and i will ship it back)

If not i will start with PayPal tomorrow.

I buy things on forums all the time. It's sad to read about these transactions. I am always in fear of ending up this way. I hope you and the seller can work things out. good luck.
