Ive been wondering why this was on my buddys ls1.. Only one I ever saw, if you dont mind asking what years did they use this?

That's the wrong part number -that part number is for the newer ones that only connect the front two vents together.

Weird. Ive had dozens and only 1 had that style

Well the Ls1 intakes have a "V" bottom and were only on 97-00 vettes and 98-00 fbodies

So the 4 post coolant crossover was shaped to fit the bottom of the intake

The ls6 intake had a completely flat bottom and could no longer fit the 4 post crossover. So the "y" setup and rear block offs started in 2001+

If you've had dozens of these then you must have had 01+ engines
