Default 2005 GTO camshaft into 2000 LS1? PCM changes?

I have a 2000 T/A LS1 with a Corvette intake to eliminate the egr. It will be controlled by a GM standalone (F-body) PCM. I also have a 2005 GTO camshaft I have considered installing for more hp and to eliminate the egr system completely. What, if anything, will I need to do to the PCM? Is this worth the effort?

You're right in my backyard BTW.
Shouldn't have to change anything in the computer. But you'll need a LS2 front timing cover, and cam sensor, and harness connector.
You will need to turn off the stuff in the PCM for the EGR. We can do that, if you're not equipped.

I wouldn't do just a GTO cam, given the effort involved.
Unless you need smoggable and cheap, real bad. Free
labor might change that equation but I'd look for a much
bigger stick.

a cam is a relatively cheap item at only a few hundred bucks. I agree with the others. Why bother unless your going to fit something decent.

Plus the GTO cam gives you hardly any HP increase. Not at all worth the effort and cost.
