Nedd advise on how to tune with SLP MAF
I have LS1edit and have a SLP MAF sensor. Should i ditch the SLP and put on the stock unit, or tune it with the SLP one? Also if I tune with the SLP MAF should i use the MAF table or the IFR table to tune my Ltrms? Thanks for any advise.

Most people would probably say not to use the SLP unit.I bought mine before I knew better,most people say the SLP unit wont help you untill your over what I think was 650HP, and I am way under that.maybe I can grow into it. But I just use mine since I already have it and the SLP is also lighter,potentialy flows more air,and is made of more plastic not metal(less heat soak believe). I have LS1 edit and have had no problems with the SLP 85mm unit.

Ya ditching the unit is what im finding out!!! So how did you tune your Ltrims with the SLP unit? Did you scale the MAF table or did you use IFR table? Thanks.

Re: Nedd advise on how to tune with SLP MAF
'98-'00 SLP MAF version is different from '01-'02
version. The '01-'02 seems to be close to stock
calibration and doesn't need messing with. The
'98-'00 one would want some scaling. Since it's a
MAF calibration problem I think you should use
the MAF table especially if you have an A4 car;
MAF readings get into other things besides just
fuel computation. But for an M6 the MAF error
would give you more spark advance and making up
the fuel another way might give you a best-of-
both-worlds result. But with Edit you could push
spark around separately anyway.
