So i got a problem.... when i am from a dig and on the highway if i give my car WOT the rev limiter comes in before the shift point so my car dont shift until i let off the gas a lil bit.... but then when i get in to the next gear and try to WOT then it shifts down and hit rev limiter again... i had the tranny rebulit and its still doing it.... ugh.. do i need a tune? maybe change the shift points and back off the rev limiter??? let me know asap guys..

yeah you need to either lower your shift point or raise your rev limiter................then again your trans man might need a swift kick in the rear.
What rpm is the limiter kicking in at?

did you take it to the tranny shop because it was slipping or because of this issue? Who tuned your car previously?
You know you can get a free version of tuner cat and DIY right?

its pretty damn easy to be honest, I could step you through it. Go to tunercat.com and download the free software. You need to buy a $20 definition file to get the software to work for your car and then you need an $80 cable (or at least thats what it cost back in 03). You can tune your own car with that software.

Yea, I'd like to know about this free tuning BS too.
Just for entertainment to be honest, I've dicked around with that making your own OBD1 cable, save yourself the headache.
I ended up getting the Moates APU1 kit for OBD1 vehicles, you can use it with any scanning program.
To the OP I might comment about the trans issue if you said what car, year, etc, that you're dealing with.

free tuning BS? ok man whatever. Ask any OBDI tuning guy if its bs.
I didn't have to make my own cable, it was already made and it was 80 bucks.
OP, never heard of chuckstuning, but if he knows what hes doing then yes it will help.

I had this exact same problem, but it was after they had installed a stage2 shift kit.......it was because the solonoid was getting flooded and not letting it shift......just a thought.......
