Default t56 conversion etc. w/ tunercat

I'm just learning how to tune my own obdI 94 z28. I recently did a t56 conversion and need what to tune out out the file. Also I recently did a cam swap so my BLMs were a bit off and I smoothed them out with VEmaster...anyone use that?? To be honest I don't know too much about what I am doing but would like to learn...(don't worry I like to do background research). I wanted to make sure that using VEmaster was fine since I'm running E85. Any other info is appreciated. thanks guys, Erik

could you just start with a manual tune? I did that to a friend's LT1 when he swapped (and had issues 'cos the RPM's kept dropping really fast during shifts), and it worked out fine. I basically copied all the important tables from the auto tune to the manual tune and flashed it in. It's been a LONG time since I messed with TunerCat and I did remember working with VEmaster and some other programs and did get my fueling corrected after a cam swap until I got a real tuner to readjust them on the dyno.

I did this back in 02'. At the time I didn't know how to tune so I bought a T56 computer from Madz28. They are the same thing as far as the physical computer itself but I ended up having to tap into one of the pins on the back of the computer to get the reverse lockout to work properly since the auto harness doesn't have a wire connected to that pin.

You could start by getting a copy of a stock manual bin 94 or 95 and going from there or maybe someone has a tune already with your cam specs. You might want to check on camaroz28.com also.

well I would start with a t56 tune and change it, however this one already has an extensive amount of changes done to it already as it had a dyno tune for E85 originally with a smaller cam and now some changes with the newer cam. Is there anyway to "turn" it into a manual tune. I'm not having too many issues just a SES light here and there and sometimes some minor rpm issues

you are aware that your timing requirements are going to be different with the manual right?
