Default idle issue...MS3

when I first start the car, the car idles at 400rpms, then idles at 600 and then goes up to the set idle at 1000rpms...it takes about 6-7 seconds before it idles at 1k. The car drives and idles fine after that....it just does this everytime I start the car and its rather annoying because it sounds like its going to stall

I have HPT infront of me....how can I fix this?? Is it timing related or something else??

have you used the raf pid? That may help you with the idle.

add airflow on startup tables. I have efi live so I'm not sure what tables they are using HP tuners. But I had the same problem for a long time till I figured out it needed more air on startup.

yah...thats what I was thinking too I just need someone to point out exactly which tables to add more airflow too as far as start up goes....everything else in the tune is perfect.

there should be a section in the tune for startup. There is where you will need to add the airflow.

heres a quick idle clip of what its doing

sorry the video is all messed up, I think I bought a shitty tape to begin with

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9UctHwl7cjk

Note: This is on a hot start...on a cold start it idles normal. Also, usually it takes a few seconds longer to find idle then the video I posted.

yep, that is the exact same thing mine was doing. In the startup tables you need to add air at the temps that you are having the problem at. Since it starts fine when cold like mine you can leave those alone. I wish I had HP so I could explain to you what tables at what areas need changing.

well I dont either

its just annoying shutting off the car at the pump, then starting it back up with everyone staring at me wondering when the car is going to die

I'm assuming you went back and double-checked that all of your fueling is correct after installing the new injectors....right?

im planning on it...havent had to time to go back out to the shop (2 hour drive one way) to throw it back on the dyno and double check the AFR's with the 41lb injectors...

however, this issue has been the same with the stock injectors and after so obviously the injector change isnt the issue.
