Default HP tuners version question

I am about to pick up a never used HP tuners from a local person. He purchased it for his 98 camaro and never used it. Anyway the version is VCM Suite 2.1.12. My question is are there upgrades after this version that i will need etc and shouldnt buy the item etc. I'm getting the standard suite for half price, if upgrades are needed any idea if they are avail to purchase etc?

Have the current owner transfer the info with HP Tuners support so it is in your name. The updates are free. The regular one is 2.2x right now and 2.3 beta is in testing.

thanks just finally found that on the page. I dont even think the owner even registered the tuner. I wonder if that is going to be an issue. I think it was a long term project that never got built cause he is selling that fuel systems, blocks, pistons, cranks, etc

Not gonna be a problem at all, all that matters is that you have the serial number and the device... after that even if you have to buy credits its fine. any help with hp tuners feel free to pm me.

Damn good deal! with the money you saved if you don't have one already, do yourself a favor and get a wideband

When I bought mine from a member, he swapped over the owner of the serial number and gave me the password so I could log on
