Default My ECTs and AFR are dropping and stopping the motor

My AFR cmnd and my ECTs were dropping sharply on me yesterday on the way from chico to the bay area. I thought i had saved the log but i guess i didnt. When they dropped it almost felt like the engine was gonna die, or it was cutting fuel. Also when this happened my temp guage was dropping and going back to normal. Does anyone know what can be causing this problem? Ill try to get another log of it today. Thanks

A log would be nice. Did it happen just cruising along and did you check for any codes? Can you duplicate the problem? Assuming you're running a MAF in CL the commanded AFR should be 14.63. If some O2 codes are set, the PCM will switch to open loop commanded AFR (usually richer) causing the symptoms you mention.

I have seen intermittent ECT sender connections whack a motor's
operation. Could be as simple as pulling and reseating to wipe the
corrosion off the contacts.
