If your PCM accepted a bench flash, but not an onboard, you may have a problem with your DLC connector.

Can the tune be flashed on the bench harness? Or just read.

It is impossible... yes impossible for the read to work and the write to fail due to a seed/key missmatch.. The key for reading is the same for writing, so it cant be locked..

The only thing to check is you have the correct ecm type selected depending on your software you are using, OR check for 12v and grounds at your connector under the dash that you are plugging into to see if it has power and is working.

Gremlins = electrical problems (power/ground connections may have corrosion/resistance)...

But I am happy you got it going......is this the 99 or the 98...?

Voltage was probably too low. I've seen that set a boot load error.
