Default EFI Live upgrade?

I have EFI Live software that I've used on my old laptop (Windows NT) and since it got trashed over winter I'm trying to load my software on to my new laptop running Vista. Any advice on how to get this to install properly or dowloads I can use to work would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Kody

Set Administrator rights to the EFI Live programs. That will get you around a few annoying permission issues that arise with Vista and 7.

All the Drivers are on the EFI website. I used EFI LIVE on Vista for years with zero issues.

Thanks for the info, hopefully I can get it loaded tonight. Glad to hear that I shouldn't have to buy it all over again!!

There is a lot of downloads, I'm not sure which one/s I specifically need. My biggest issue is during download it comes up with an error that it can't find a certain file

If you have FlashScan V1, then download the V7.5.6.117 file.

If it fails to download, then try again.

What exact error message do you see...?

Downloading now

The error reads:

Error 1305. Error reading from file E:\EFILive\programfiles\EFILive\V7\Calibrations\12 592433.cal Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.
I've followed the path and the file is there but I can't "access" it or open it

Reinstall it...

When it shows the Destination Directory as C:\Program Files\EFILive\V7.5 just click Next without modifying the directory.

If you still get that error, then after the scantool starts, go Edit->Properties->Folders and make sure Calibrations says C:\Program Files\EFILive\V7.5\Calibrations.

If it doesn't, click on the Calibrations line to highlight it, then click Browse, and find C:\Program Files\EFILive\V7.5\Calibrations, click OK, then click OK to exit Properties.
