Default ls3 cranks but no start when hot in f-body

I just had a weird problem with my T/A. I shut the car off hot and when i went to restart it it wont fire. Scanned it and found it had no crank shaft rpm signal. Then out of no where the cart started and ran fine. Next time I shut it down hot same thing. If it sits for 30 min or so it will start. One time at idle it lost crank signal and died. Never had this issue before and motor has been in the car for over a year. I'm leaning towards a bad crank sensor that quits when it gets hot. I checked all the wiring and its ok. The car also has the lingenfelter 58x to 24x conversion module in it so I can run the f-body pcm. This makes it harder to diagnose because this could also be the problem. Haven't driven yet again till i get to work on it. I haven't heard yet of any problems with the module, did a search. Has anyone had an issue like this and have it be the crank sensor?

different car... but my buddy had the EXACT same problem on his mustang, he had done a motor swap and whenever the car was hot it wouldn't restart. Ended up having poor ground connections.

Has anybody figured out what is causing this problem? I have been having the same issue with my car the last few months. It starts fine when the car is cool, but it's hot is takes 2 or sometimes 3 start tries for the car to start. It has never not started but I would like to get the problem resolved.

I work at a GM dealer as a tech and everytime i get one of these its always a cracked crank sensor or bad/cracked ICM. I would spray the engine down with water and see if it misses. Its actaully a very common problem with GM. The whole thing of it starting after it cools down is whats leading me to thinking that.

My friends tell me that the converter is sensitive to heat...

you may need to extend the wires and mount it someplace else.
