Default Trying to get a ballpark starting point

My truck idles around 13.0 AFR on my wideband, and when you crack the throttle, the engine cuts out, and sometimes backfires before the revs go up. It seems like it's going WAY lean around 20.0 when this happens.

I think I'd like it to behave a little better before I take it out and drive, where do I look?

It has 8.1 marine injectors, lunati 227/231 .651 lift cam, 243 stock heads, 6.0 LQ4 stock bottom end.

I've attached the current tune in case you want to have a look

Thanks!

I copied someone's cammed LQ9 tune, and it seems better. Probably just leave it alone now until I get the wideband logging in HPTuners and do some VE tuning.

Yes- initially I changed the IFR table, and multiplied the whole primary VE table by 15%. (plus removal of vats, evap, rear 02's, auto trans, etc...)

After starting the engine a few different times and observing it's behavior, I copied the VE table, timing table, throttle cracker/follower idle airflow from the cammed LQ9 tune I found in the repository since all those areas seemed to be off to the point of it being somewhat un-stable/unpredictable.

Things seem better now, and hopefully I'm in a better point to get things dialed in.

How many parameters did you change for the Injectors?
Just adjusting for the injectors

What is the OSID?

Just the injector flow rate table. That's all the info I could find on the 8.1 marine injectors.

IFR (0-80KPA):
43.82 44.09 44.37 44.64 44.9 45.17 45.44 45.7 45.96 46.22 46.48 46.74 46.99 47.25 47.5 47.75 48.01

OSID? Where would I find that? All I can really tell you about the OS is that it was originally an '03 GMC 2500 6.0 w/auto trans, and I licensed it for an enhanced 1-bar SD.

Click on the edit tab and then it is the first one. a pop up will appear and it will tell you the OSID.

I can get you all of the Injector spec built into a bin file that is licenesed to you. I will need some info from you.

Also you may need to adjust the AE tables.

this has 44 # injectors in it, but it has a mp122 pump on it. You can get the injector setting from it. I have other settings changed that you can't see with HPT, but it should help on the INJ side
