1. Download and SAVE the original tune.
2. Set up a logical tune & log numbering sequence, to allow easy comparison[s] between the two.
3. Do some logging on the current tune, and see where the engine is actually operating.

Use EFILIVE! READ the tutorials......

i'll throw my cents in... lol.

Use HPTUNERS! Read tutorials.

you will likely want to smooth out spark tables (Transitions and overall) and check fueling

There are alot of tunes in the repository, more good then bad I think. PE table raping, untouched/ridiculous timing tables are just what I've seen out of a few bad ones. Don't just take a tune and load it to yor car because "its close enough". Close enough may cost you. Just be sure to get a few how-to's and read the tutorials.

don't base yourself off the repository tunes.

do some reading on all the guides. PM me your email and I can send you a few sheets (pdf) that give you a basic outline (in hptuners) of the tables and what they are/do.
you can probably find this same sheet if you search around for Greg Banish & informative tuning samples

There's actually a link to the pdf of the article on the front page of my website. ...OR YOU CAN FOLLOW THIS LINK DIRECTLY. It's one of several free articles I have posted.
