I picked up a 5.3 LS V8 out of 2001 Chevy Suburban with 113,000 miles for $250 and a 700R4 from a 1990 S10 Blazer with 90,000 miles for $100. I got both for $350 including no tax and no core charge. The motor does not have a computer or wire harness.
Which computer do I need and that is tunable and maybe even controls a 4L60E in the future if I go that route?
Which wire harness ?
Thanks

wait4me,
The 12200411 ECM is used in lots of truck & cars for the 2001 time period. Does it matter which one get since it will have to be re-flashed anyway to remove ignition key security and re-tune for a bigger cam?
Thanks

411 does support the drive by cabe and drive by wire. I highly recommendyou get a 4L60E from a V8 over the 700r4 as brackets for the downshift TV cable are more than the cost difference. Plus a V8 trans is just easier. 4.3L 4L60e is dimensionally is different than the v6 trans in converter/bellhousing area.
