negative from going SD from MAF? w/o tune
Ive recently gone to SD from MAF...
I went from SLP Lid, MAF, PP TB, LS6 intake to FAST 92mm intake and FAST 92mm TB, SD and 104 FTP lid
I cant get a tune right now....ive got a SES light and im sure its cause there is now NO MAF......
so with the MORE air going in.....does tha make me LEAN? will it hurt to drive until i can make it to TICK to get a re-tune?

You'll need a tune for sure, but without having an air/fuel gauge, no real way to tell how lean you are now. I can guarantee you're leaner than you were before because you completely overhauled and upgraded the intake system. My advice would be to baby that thing like there's no tomorrow if you have to drive it before getting a re-tune.

depends how well the VE was tuned before but regardless of that you made a significant change to the breathing of the car...I agree with Rise, I wouldn't even think about going WOT
there's a difference between "going SD" and just pulling the MAF off a car tuned to run with a MAF

ive got a Wide band ...so i'll have to see.
yeah i was told dont go WOT but it should be fine to cruise around and drive to Mt Airy NC when i have to head that way for a tune.
im wondering how much im up in power vs my old setup.

The o2 sensors will keep the engine operating at the proper AFR during light throttle conditions regardless of the type of tune you have. They might have bigger swings that before, but in the end you still get roughly the same number (given that the previous tune was done correctly touching the VE table).
Don't go WOT though or heavily on the throttle and you will be fine.

I was having issues with front o2's, and my tuner said we could go OLSD, which took care of that, and he commands things so that I run pretty damn lean, with the exception of WOT, and when I'm at WOT, air/fuel is perfect. I get great gas mileage for what the car is, and it's safe when I'm killing things around town.

That's funny, I lost about 22hp power going to SD. And from a tuner just learning about big cams to one of the best in the southwest. I know all different dynos but a dynojet -491rwhp, twice and a mustang dyno -474rwhp. after SD tune - 468rwhp on dynojet, but that was ok with me because at least the car would stay idling ( RIP ) old friend, lol
