After having a MAF on my car, I would not recommend it to anyone. The car performed better with the stock one. It might just be my setup but I see a lot of other people have tuning issues when changing the MAF

Hi Folks
I guess MAF's are a pain in the back side and cause trouble/problems. PRO-M claims their MAF is the only calibrated unit on the market and should work from the get go. Has anybody tried their unit and does it work?
Thanks
Bill

what I found on my car was it was ok, didnt really notice much of a differance. Then I changed the cam from stock to a .581 224* 114*+4 Which I thought would help with some of the bottom end lag. I was surprised that it was very, very soft below 4000rpm. Then I decided to put the stock MAF in, and it made a world of differance. It felt like I picked up 50hp..

Make some research on the main LS1 forums and you'll find that the stock MAF isn't that bad: aftermarket, descreened or ported MAF are usually a pain in the butt.
Save the money for something better (Edit, LT's, cam, hads, supercharger...).
HPP3 just gives you +2 degrees timing: no way to get the promised 20HP! And: with a +300 HP engine 20 HP are same as nothing, you feel it the first day and then you want more...
