Default 236/236 .525/.525 110 tuning w/HP tuner

We were trying to tune this car yesterday, and boy was it hard!
The car is 2002 c-5 corvette. It has a cold air, svo 30lb injectors, cooks long tube headers, and a BBK 80mm throddle body. We were having a hard time keeping the sucker to start up by itself with out help, and could not. We eeventually got it to do it but the idle was at 1100 or so after it had warmed up.
My question is, do you guys think the injectors are too small because when we were test driving ti, it would bog hard around 3000-4000 RPM? Or is it just because the dam BBK!

30lb'ers should be more than adequate. Yank off that BBK and put the factory back on. It should idle closer to 800-850 rpms.

BBK is most likly you problem. Bigger TB's are sometimes not the best.

I do not believe it is your injectors being too small. The SVO's 30lb flow about 36lb on 58psi on our cars. This supports about 550hp @ 80% duty cycle. That should be plenty. You could easily tell just by logging your Fuel Injector Duty Cycle in EFI Live or Autotap. I have never tried with my HP Tuner's setup but it may log this as well.

I will also say that the problems you are experiencing seem unusual as I have a T-Rex in my car and it cranked right up when I first installed it and I drove it for about 2 weeks before I got my wideband system installed so I could tune it. I am running it in a M6 so that does make it easier to drive @ lower RPM's but it didn't have any of the issues you are describing and I was on Stock Injectors. I just now ordered a set of 30lb SVO's myself so I can do a few more mods.

I am thinking it is the BBK too. For moded cars and tunning these things become complicated. I will look form a stock one. I bet this is the problem.

put the stock injectors back in if thats all u did to the internals of the motor was a cam swap,i still have stock in mine runs sweet i do believe i could use bigger injectors but i know that they are not the same impedance as stock gm injectors, probably could put your BBK throttle body back on to. my cam has just a little more lift custom comp cam.hope i helped.
