Default Dyno tuner in Oklahoma?

Ed Wright @ Fastchips is the only one I know of and he wants $650 for a dyno tune. I can't afford that its just rediculous.
Anyone know of a good tuner in Oklahoma?
Or should I try a mail order tune?
Would the Speed Inc $150 tune be good for a bolton car?
What about when my H/C gets here?

I wouldn't mind driving to OKC or Edmund though. I think I might buy HP tuners and just try to do it myself.

I am in SW Missouri (a couple hours from Tulsa), and there really aren't many tuners in this area that I know of. I'm just going with HP tuners when I need to be tuned. I have heard it isnt that hard, and you can always tweek it if you add something else. And the scan tool lets you check if you think something is wrong with the car and you can get rid of codes. I think it's the best thing to do. I know I wouldn't even think about spending that much money on a single tune.

Dang, Ed's rates went up $200/tune in the last three years? I guess his market share has really dwindled. I stopped by his shop a few years ago on a roadtrip, but I had picked up some bad fuel and he couldn't do anything with it. He, Jeanie, and John were great folks, though.

Not worth 650, I don't care how good of folks they are. They're just overconfident to me. Claiming 20rwhp gain for the 'drop in' tune when I was STOCK. I asked if he would give it to me free if I dyno'd it back to back at my friend's dyno and he said no. Well WTF is the point of paying 400 for a drop in stock tune or 650 for a dyno tune then?

I didn't imply the value was there. I don't consider any price to have a value when they lock the PCM after they modify your calibration.

ed wright is a joke now days. most of his cars end up going south to Texas to have Cris Robinson tune them and he even charges less and doesnt lock the pcm. But there are 2 guys here in okc that tune Glen. And Jason at Extreme Perf.

theres a difference though, we are just giving recommendations,, youre trying to sell, if the shop came on here and advertised then it would be different story. afaik theres no rules about recommendations right!?
