Its called the Volumetric Efficiency table. On a 98 I think there's 2, the Primary and Secondary (someone correct me if I'm wrong).

VE vs RPM vs MAP

You will either have primary only or primary and secondary (older LS1's). If you have a secondary VE table this is what you will use when tuning in SD mode. You can then use Will's (txhorns281) Excel sheet to create a primary since the secondary table is half resolution. You may or may not need to perform a smooth function.

^^^ what he said....

on pre 01 cars (at least for F-Body's ) , the secondary table is used when in Speed Density (MAF Disabled) ... so you'll want to do your tuning to the Primary VE table... then copy the approrpiate lines to the secondary table

I found it, thanks guys!

I have a 98, so there are two tables, as far as tuning the tables, I have no idea what you guys are talking about. I'm sure it will take me a LONG time to figure it out. Would it be a bad idea to smooth both tables out for now?

Thanks,
Jason

No smoothing is necessary if no changes have been made. Take some time and read the info on the stickies at the top of this section, all you need to know is there.

You may have to tweak the MAF table if the VE table doesn't get your LTFTs where they need to be.

follow the sd method I tried tuning with the maf enabled and cant get it alot easier to follow the stickies up top, took me a good week of nothing but to get it down. That includes learning how to do it properly also.
