tuning newbie
i was looking to get my car tuned.and it seems everyone is leaning towards home tuning opossed to dyno tuning.so my question is has anyone tried the hyperpac yet?seen nothing on it in this thread.it has some sweet features but is it worth it or should i get efi or hpt?i did some mods this year and she is runnin like ****.ran a 13.7 this year.pissed me off.ran 13.1 last year with only the header back and flo pac.so tuning is definatly needed.any suggestions and help would be greatly appreciated.thanks in advance.

I'm not sure of the other tuning package you mentioned. Do you have a link to their site?
If you want to play it safe, stick with www.efilive.com or www.hptuners.com. Both companies are on the leading edge of tuning the LS series motors. You can download a demo version of EFILive from their site.
Learning to tune is a worth while investment. Would you rather pay $600 once so you can tune yourself, or pay someone else $400 for a tune every time you change your mods?
As far as the dyno goes, a dyno is a very useful tool when tuning. "Home tuning" allows you to dial in your idle, part throttle, and various other things with out the cost of the dyno time. You will still want to use the dyno to tune WOT.

lol... is the hyperpac the new gimic they've been advertising? Gives you a built in dyno or 0--60 calculator or something... big screen.... if it is save your 1000 bux or whatever it costs and get a real tuning solution such as HP Tuners or EFI Live ... or look into Predators or Crane/Vinci Handheld tuners

I think the competition between EFILive and HPT is great. The way they keep "one-uping" each other means a better product for us.
