Default Ceramic Coated Spark Plug Wires?

Some local shop said i need to replace my spark plug wires b\c of my LT headers due to the heat my headers give off. He recommended ceramic coated spark plug wires. Do i really need ceramic? He also has these plug wires that have heat sleeves on them that resist up to 1,400 degrees. It's not freakin' 1,400 under my hood is it? Why would i need ceramic coated wires? What type of performance plug wires do y'all have?

I say start your engine and hold your hand on one of your headers for 10 seconds to find out...honestly yes it can get darn close to that...i just had stockers with the stock heat shields...did just fine with my pacesetters.

what are these ceramic coated wires you speak off?!?! we have used plenty of stock wires @ customers request,But choose to use MSD... plug wires need not touch headers even with the the heat sleeves,if they are touching its going to misfire

So what kind do all of you have or use? I have LT Pacesetters and the plug wires are pretty close.

Maybe he was suggesting you get your headers ceramic coated??? The only place I know to find ceramic coated spark plug wires is next to the halogen headlight fluid just below the performance muffler bearings in Autozone.

Naw, i got ceramic Pacesetters so i know that's not what he's suggesting. What did y'all do with the spark plugs and wires after or before your header install?

dont worry its not a big deal, just make sure they arent touching the header. if they touch the header then get better wires that fit good. what wires do you have now? number 3 cyl with my msd wires would touch the header, my moroso wires dont touch at all

If your wires arent OTVC, you need to get that done too, it helps.
