Default 2.0 Scanner Problem - Anyone Else?

I followed the request of HPT and posted on their forum first. Was told this was caused by slow computers. It is happening on a Intel P3 750 768mb mem box when viewing a log file and moving the cursor back and forth. Happens on a P2 366 laptop also. Never had this problem with 1.7 or earlier versions. Just wondering if anyone else is having this problem. If so, would you post the comp specs or if you had this problem and fixed it, what you did to fix it.

Is this during playback? or while live recording? I'll test it out on my laptop... I've used my 350mhz laptop for recording and playback no problem... but haven't tried having the chart update realtime

Also what OS are you running?

Win ME. All the latest OS upgrades from MS. Same OS that worked fine with 1.7. I've seen HPT post the min OS is Win 98SE. Not in record or playback mode. Just opening and viewing an existing log file on a static screen display. Just moving the cursor (white vertical line) back and forth across the display.

It happens for me during playback. Lets say you are not actually playing the scan but just loaded all the values and you are moving your cursor over the chart, if you move your cursor really fast across the chart, it will have that cursor trail effect as shown in his screenshots.

But Chris is right though, I just tried it now with nothing running and dont see it like I did before, maybe my MacAfee was running at the time and chewing up the cpu.

That is a refresh rate/ video card memory problem...See if you laptop has the ability to allocate more memory to it...The video card memory is probably shared with the system memory; most are. You could also try changing your resolution, and see if that helps. Good luck!
