Default SES Code; EGR valve

The technician tuning my car discovered this code. I found out this is in reference to exhaust gas recirculation. Is this normal for a full exhaust car?

I think the confusion is this. The technician CLEARED the code.

But, you need a tuner (like hp tuners) to REMOVE the code completely (so it will never get thrown again).

Normal? If the EGR goes bad.

They're like $150 each to replace (plus labor) and only serve emissions purposes. Get rid of them, and REMOVE the codes completely for them.
