Default MAF help please p0101 code

turning the maf back on to go pass smog.

under diagnostics I returned the 2 maf entries back to stock, plugged maf in, when I scan it's showing values for the maf frequency so it appears to be working fine yet I am getting the P0101 code. What else could have been shut off I forgot to turn on that would trigger the code?

Myabe you should clean it with some electrical cleaner and see what happens. Why dont you just leave it disbaled and set the codes to X so that they dont report errors back to the PCM. That way the MAF will be off and you will still be able to pass OBD2 tests?

Right, it seems that right now you have the MAF codes set to not turn on the SES light when an error is reported. What you want to do is set the code to not report at all. This will allow the PCM to go to a ready state for testing and will pass a OBD2 test. I have all this done with the EGR AIR and O2 sensor codes and I have passed with no problems before.

Using HPT you have a drop down menu that shows 4 options...0 - Mil on first error; 1 - MIL on second error; 2 - No MIL error; 3 - No error reported.
