Default VE tuning

Do I reset fuel trims every time I load an updated VE table to the car?

The trims automatically reset each time you flash... i.e. load the update.

The trims will only reset when you do a full rewrite, if you do just the cal write they stay. You need to reset them.

I think a cal write with efi resets them too. Maybe not hpt though.

It might reset them in EFI, but you have to manually reset them in HPT unless you do a full rewrite.

Thanks for the clarification...my bad. Sorry.

The last time I ran closed loop Flashscan and HP Tuners didn't exist. A full rewrite was the only option with Edit.

I posted an answer because no one was answering his question and it was about to drop to the second page.
