Default Non WOT Above 4K SpeedDensity A/F

Tune it where you drive it has been mentioned before. I've got my below 4K A/F at 14:6:1. Which I think is what I want. Opinions welcome.

But since I don't do much 4-6 K driving I don't know what I want in that area. Help me out - please.

This car is totally street driven.

At WOT(PE Mode) I'm getting 12:5:1 - 12:8:1.

I'm looking for steady slow acceleration A/F above 4K not going into PE Mode. First run up in third gear nice and slow - ran 15:1 so I bumped the VE table between 4400-6400 and 25-80 kpa up 4%. I'll go out in and see what that will give me. I was guessing 14:1 might be good but wanted other opinions.

changing your your VE in those cells shouldnt add much if any fuel considering maf is used mainly after 4000 rpms...unless your running SD.

I've been in sd for a year or more - going down the road at say 5k rpm 4th gear, not wot, what is a good A/F to shoot for? 14:6,14,13:5?? and still make power without being too lean.

I've got a hard copy of that file that I've read soo many times the corners are worn!
SO -
If I'm not in WOT -- 14.6:1 is a good target.
I was concerned that might be too lean.
Thanks

yeah from the factory 14.62-14.70 to one is normally whats commanded at part throttle.

You've got to think more in terms of load or stress on the motor and less in terms of high rpms. At the higher rpms, PE will kick in sooner. So, go with the 14.63 as a target in the areas where PE doesn't kick in. But, DO NOT disable PE.

The way my PE enables on my car, it commands richer than stoich at pretty much any load above 4k RPMs.

My PE RPM's are set @ 0. PE TPS is set @ 26%. If I accelerate slowly PE will not engage until past 5,000 RPM.

Have you verified that with filtering? I don't even populate a cell unless I'm commanding something more than 14.5-ish:1 when I tune the VE table for cruising. I only ask because I my TPS is set to about that, but I still get into something richer than stoich around 4k RPMs, mid-load (like 45-50 kPa I think).

I'm converting the scan to .csv and scrolling down through the excel file.
