Default Efi Live

Is EFI Live hard to use? I was looking to tune my own car instead of having it tuned at 300-500 bucks a crack. EFI Live looks like a good program to use since it also had the ability to scan and log data. Are their any users out there that can lead me in the right direction. I heard it's pretty easy, do I just hook it up to a desktop or should I use a laptop. Are their preset tunes I can use as guide lines for my set up?

EFILive is very easy to use, and the best tuning suite on the market. However, learning to tune a fuel injected vehicle is quite a steap learning curve. www.efilive.com and www.forum.efilive.com will get you a wealth of information fast. With the V2 interface now available, you will not need to lug a laptop in the car with you.

I use EFILive to scan my wife's GAGT.
It should be able to scan your Bonneville.

You can try out the software in demo mode, download and install from here:
http://download.efilive.com/software...16_540_467.exe
you can use it to view the [real] sample tunes and logs.
There are some pdf tutorials too (look under Help).

TA meant: http://forum.efilive.com

Yeh, as TA said, soon the V2 FlashScan will be able to do both blackbox flashing and blackbox logging... i.e. no need to lug a laptop around anymore;
and it takes an SD memory card where you can store LOTS of logs and tunes (I have a 2GB card in mine, that's good forever).

Can I use it to delete certain sensors that are no longer needed. What about the rev limiter and stuff like that? Can I control everything or at least close to it?

Yep, and then some.

There's something like 600 or so tables for F-body and Y-body.

A wideband O2 sensor (tells you the actual AFR rather than rich/lean like a narrowband O2 sensor).

like a digital read out? What's a road runner? I just was about to buy one and now I am confused on what parts I need. I thought I was just going to buy a V2 and be done with it. Will a Lc1 work directly with a V2? Or should I just buy a LM1 instead for the digital read out. And on this V2 how do you view all this data if you don't need a laptop like it claims? Sorry guys, didn't know their was so much to this thing.

Its so easy, a caveman can do it...

Or in this case...any clown can do it...

Sorry slow nite on the rig...

Download the demo, you can get a feel if you can follow it or not by playing with the software before you buy, thats what I did.
