You have 2 cats...4 O2 sensors. There are 2 before the cats and 2 after the cats. The first 2 help adjust fueling. The last 2 check to see if the cats are still working properly. Since it's a pre-cat O2, you need to get that taken care of fairly soon. Either switch the front O2's from side to side and see if the code follows the sensor (to verify the sensor is truly bad)....or replace it and move on.

There is one in front of each cat. Find the cats and you'll find your o2 sensors. Did you have the code cleared and it came back or did you just put a new o2 sensor on and hope the SES light would turn off?

I changed the one on the driver side, it was way up by the manifold...is the other one on the pass. side??? and yea i changed the drvr side and now the chk eng light is still on........I figured out that it would have to be reset which i have not done yet..........Then last night i brought it back to auto zone and had it checked again.........showed the same code.........would the code come up still if it has not been reset but the problem had been fixed....the exhaust still smells kinda funky and idles a lil weird..

Autozone should be able to tell you which side the O2 is bad on. B1 = driver side, B2 = passenger side. Which error code is it? May not be an O2 bad.

Your car has 2 cats? Look in front of each of them(closer to the motor). There will be an o2 sensor on both sides. But it will take something like 200 ignition cycles before the code clears itself. Just have the code cleared and see if it comes back.

The auto zone here said that all they could tell me was if it was before or after the cat...
