Default Injector tuning?

Was just curious on how to tune the injectors on a bolt on, cam only car. Right now the car has all major bolt ons except for the ls6 intake. Will hopefully be doing this mod within the not so distant future. The car has a good tune at the moment and no major driving issues. My question is should I return the injector flow rate back to stock when i have to tune for the new manifold and then just completely redue my VE and MAF tables. Or should I just leave the injector flow rate table the way it is now and then tune
VE and MAF.

Had the car tuned by a shop before I got hp tuners and i think they did the tune by changing the injectors. Since then i have tuned it using VE and MAF but have left the injectors alone, and yes they are stock injectors..

Thanks for an info.

If I understand correctly, you are indicating that the 'shop tune' obtained desired fueling results by modifying the IFR table? Since then, you have been dialing in the MAF and VE tables. If so, modifying the injector data to obtain a desired result is a flawed methodology. I believe this is particularly true with stock injectors as I am sure that the static data GM has for the injectors is fairly decent. Accurately monitoring airflow is a much better approach (IMO), and I would put the injector tables back to stock.

The IFR table should reflect the injectors that you have installed. You should not be tuning for mods via the IFR table, that is some back in the day half *** method of tuning.

Return the IFR back to stock and tune you mods via VE and MAF.

You could just reflash a stock tune now and tune it right when you install the intake.

what about just putting stock injector table back in and then redoing VE and MAF, from where they are now?

ok-what about PE, should it be ok where it is now? Running at about 12:8 or should i richen it up just to be safe, while I am tuning then lean it back out to where it is now?

As long as PE is as commanded it should not be a problem. Once you have remapped your VE & Maf table it will still be correct. Otherwise a safe start point at around 12.5:1 should get you close.

stay out of PE mode until you get a proper tune.

Stock the divider is 1.250 and that is 11.76:1 so that should be safe for now. but was planning on getting ve and maf in line before going into pe. have a wideband, but think it is going out on me. whenever i get in it alittle bit the output volts go to 0. if it is not the wideband going out, but just a common problem, a fix would be appreciated.
Thanks
