I don't believe EFILive supports the Mac platform. Not sure if it would work if you bought one of the emulators to run Windoze.

If you have an intel mac, virtual pc wont run on it. Id suggest Parallels.

well if he had a intel mac he could just dual boot to xp, but unfortuntly he doesnt, so your best bet is to try it on a windows emulator

I used EFILive on my older 17" with VirtualPC and on the newer one with Parallels. I think I had some trouble with the serial port version of EFILive. The problem was finding a 232 to USB adapter that worked with the Mac, VPC, and whatever vesion of Windows I was running.

Windows only sorry guys. The Intel powered Macs could use Boot Camp to natively boot Windows XP which should work fine, but nothing native to Mac.

Sounds like a good time for EFILvie to invest in some Macs. I'd love to do a Mac version of EFILive.

Regards

Funny you should mention that ....

I have used linux since it was born, but nowdays I just use a Mac. It runs *nix with a decent GUI on top. I would rather see a Mac version, but I suspect the number of potential linux users is greater and I could live with that. But, good luck porting windows GUI code to the Mac, let alone X.

"Port" was the wrong word. "Write a version for Mac" is what I should have said.
